Energy Efficient Green Desktop PC

Our custom built Dual Core Desktop Computer uses around half of the electricity of a standard Pentium computer and yet it is still just as powerful.

After extensive testing with a power meter we have built a PC to run using only 49 watts of electricity as you can see in the picture to the right. 49 Watts is less than having a standard light bulb switched on!

Using less electricity means you are not only saving money, but you're also helping to save the planet by creating less carbon emissions. And on top of that, you're also helping to replant thousands of native trees that have been cleared over the last few decades

How can it be so efficient?

A lot of time and research went into producing this PC, (and without giving away all of our secrets) we have used smart design and efficient components to deliver a high performing PC without the energy consumsption of a standard PC. One of the most important aspects is to use an energy efficient Power Supply Unit. Most PCs sold today come with a cheap power supply unit that is extremely inefficient. I only use Certified 80 Plus power supplies which means they are guaranteed to be at least 80% efficient. Most cheaper Power Supplies are only 60-65% efficient meaning for every 100 Watts of electricity the PC uses, over 30 Watts is simply wasted as heat.
